Royal Randwick Horse Races

The Australian Jockey Club's Ltd puts on one of the world's premier thoroughbred racing events and conducts 60 race meetings a year at two Racecourses, one of which is the historic Royal Randwick.

On Saturday, April 18th Rob and I attended one of these events at the Royal Randwick Racecourse. There were six Group races and two of Australia’s most prestigious races were featured; The Emirates Doncaster Mile and the Patinack Farm AJC Oaks.

We got ourselves all dolled up for a day at the races and headed to the racecourse at 10am on Saturday. It was a nice day (a little chilly) but would have been a LOT nicer if some of the horses we bet on had actually won!

In hindsight, I should have gotten a lighter colored "fascinator" for my hair because it just looks like my hair is a mess!

Entering into the Fashion on the Field contest. We didn't win.

The Fashion on the Field Winner

Our bets. Again, we didn't win. :(
