I just laughed at a commercial I saw on television tonight:
"Kim, you just tried a brand new cereal. Tell us about it!"
Kim: "It's called Cheerios, and my family loves it!"
Haha, I'll have to try this new hit! ;)
Haven't Cheerios been around since the 1800s or something?

The New Flat
After 4 months, I've made my way out of the crowded 7-person flat in Surry Hills to a much roomier (albeit not quite as nice) flat in the heart of Sydney on Market St. Rent is DEFINITELY not cheap in the city, but I found this place going for a decent price so I grabbed it. I've been in it for a week and Katie and Gracie moved in today. I was actually pretty lonely for that week without them; it made me realize how hard it's going to be to leave the friends I've made here when I head back to the States.
I'll try to get some pictures up of the place soon. It was a little rough around the edges but I've spruced it up a bit with some cute rugs and some feng shui. We have an amazing balcony too. I mean, the view is pretty much just of the surrounding sky scrapers, but the balcony is HUGE so we love it. Home Sweet Sydney...

Big Girl Job
I got a big girl job!!!!! I'm working for a global company called IQPC-International Quality and Productivity Centre. http://www.iqpc.com/ Here is the company profile as copied from the webiste:
IQPC provides business executives around the world with tailored practical conferences, large scale events, topical seminars and in-house training programs, keeping them up-to-date with industry trends, technological developments and the regulatory landscape. IQPC's large scale conferences are market leading “must attend” events for their respective industries.
IQPC produces more than 1,500 events annually around the world, and continues to grow. Founded in 1973, IQPC now has offices in major cities across six continents including: Berlin, Dubai, Johannesburg, London, New York, Sao Paulo, Singapore, Stockholm, and Sydney — with additional openings scheduled for 2008. IQPC leverages a global research base of best practices to produce an unrivalled portfolio of conferences.
I'm a sales executive for the company so I try to find delegates to attend the conferences. To buy a seat at one of the conferences will typically range anywhere from 2k-5k. So far, everyone is really nice and I like my manager and co-workers. Training went really well and I won a $50 Myer gift card (Myer is like Macy's) for performing well during the first week. ALSO, I just made MY FIRST SALE on Friday! I was the first one out of the new trainees, so I won $50 from my manager. Woooooo Hoooooooo!
